Our Wedding

Jessica and Braden met during their High School years as part of the Cinco Ranch Theatre Company's performance of Oklahoma! the musical in 2012. During the performance, they were dance partners and chorus members, and though they were married in the show (at gun point, one might add), they didn't spend much time together during the rest of their High School careers.After High School, Jessica and Braden both ended up at Blinn in Bryan, on the track to get into A&amp;M University. While there, Jessica went to see a show performed by the Blinn-Bryan Theatre Company - A Piece of My Heart - and saw a familiar face at the tech table. Braden had joined the group and was running lighting for the show. After the show, the two met up, two strangers in a new town and new school finding in each other a familiar face.It turned out, the two were neighbors - they lived in the same apartment complex! Over the next two years, they quickly became best friends. During their tenure at Blinn, the two of them performed in or assisted with a number of shows with the Blinn-Bryan Theatre Company... But it wasn't until the two of them were researching old western movies for a collection of short plays entitled Welcome to the Moon did they take the next step and seal their relationship with a kiss. That kiss took place on March 14th, 2015!The two graduated from Texas A&amp;M and worked together at Jessica's Aunt Kathy's tax firm together before the pandemic hit. After brief long distance relationship (though it didn't feel brief at the time), the two of them ( be and Jess' cat) grabbed an apartment together in Houston.Braden proposed to Jessica in front of the Houston Water Wall on November 1st, 2024. They will be wed on March 14th, 2026, exactly 11 years to the day after their first kiss.
